What does a Sunday morning look like?

During our 10:45 gathering at the Meeting House (what we call the building we meet in at 990 Old Springfield Pike in Xenia), we offer classes so that all of our children (through 5th grade) can learn at developmentally appropriate levels. Our teachers and servers in each class will lead our children in activities and teach a lesson. All of our classes are taught from the same Bible story each week, so if you have multiple children in different classes, they can each contribute to the conversation on your way home from the Sunday Gathering with answers learned from the same stories. Sunday Morning Snapshot

If you are new to New Community Church and have kids you’d like to participate in our NCK Classrooms, please stop by our Resources & Guest Check-in space as indicated on the Facility Map below! This is the space you enter if you use our NC Kids Entrance when you park in our Family Parking on the North Side of our building.

You’ll be greeted by our Check-In Attendant who will check in your child to their specific classroom and give you a sticker unique to your child that you’ll use to pick them up at their classroom after the gathering! Our Check-In Attendant is also the right person to ask any of your most pressing kids ministry related questions. Once your child is checked in, you’ll want to drop them off at the correct class! Currently, we have five classes for our children, which are described below:

Infants

Okay, so this is hardly a class, but our infants room is where you may take your children that haven’t yet turned two.

2s n 3s

Our 2s n 3s class is for your child that is between the ages of two and four. Children in this classroom play, hear a short lesson, and enjoy a veggie straw snack.

45K

45K is our class for 4 and 5-year-olds as well as those in kindergarten. Children in this class will do some activities, probably color you the sweetest picture, learn a lesson, and enjoy a veggie straw snack.

KidLife & BigLife

KidLife is the class for our 1-2 graders & BigLife is the class for 3-5 graders. Similar to our 45K class, children in KidLife & BigLife will do activities and learn a lesson, but at more developmentally appropriate levels. They also tackle other challenges like memorizing all the books of the Bible, memorizing God’s plan for salvation, and more. (no veggie straw snack… sorry kids)

Parent Portal

We have created a Google Drive folder with several resources. The first is a curriculum calendar for our ministry that includes what lesson our children are learning each Sunday, as well as any special information, like when specific classes aren’t meeting or when we have child dedications. We’ve also given you access to our leader guides, activity pages, and videos to each lesson. We believe that by giving you access to these resources, you’ll be able to better engage your child before and after each class and to interact with them about what they’ve learned! Due to copyright laws, we require a password to access this folder. Please contact us for the password.
