Tailgate Breakfast Gathering

On the fifth Sunday of this month (Aug. 31) we will experience our gathering in a whole new way!  We will gather to share breakfast, hear a brief teaching from the Word and sing praise to our Lord together.

Here’s what you need to know.

Breakfast will be tailgate style. We will meet in the back parking lot with our tailgates facing in to create a space to serve and fellowship.  Please arrive no later than nine and if you are cooking on site, arrive early enough to be ready to serve your contribution at 9:15.

We are strongly encouraging the men to step up and prepare their best breakfast treats! Blackstones and grills are encouraged!

This works best when the breakfast items are served in small, sample sizes. This allows people to graze and mingle and sample many of the different foods.  Items served on small plates, cups or  with toothpicks would be great!  Begin to think now of all the possibilities to share with each other. (fried bacon, grilled bacon, million dollar bacon, eggs with bacon, quiche with bacon, you see where I am going with this… but wait, there is more, breakfast breads of all varieties, sausages, fruits, yogurts, cereals, granola, fruit juices, milk, coffee drinks. So many options!

Nobody has to feed everybody, and we need variety!  Smaller servings allow for more people to sample. We just ask that you bring something to share.

The hope is to spend the whole morning outside, so be praying for good weather!

EZ-up tents and lawn chairs might also be useful.

Gerald will provide a short teaching and the band will provide some acoustic worship to finish off our gathering.

Please consider inviting friends, family, and coworkers to join us for an opportunity to see how this “New Community”  loves and serves each other because of what Jesus has done for us.
